SITE STATS:
This site was created in April 2008, and officially went live in May 2008, after much toiling and tinkering. The site has been designed by hand (no publishers used here) and it is maintained by the webmistress, Jackie.
WHY AN IMOGEN HEAP FAN SITE?
One day, after listening to Speak for Yourself for the eighty millionth time, I decided to check the internet for news on if Imogen Heap might be in the studio planning a new album soon. With fingers crossed and excitement running high, I turned to the search engines and drug up .. next to nothing. Immi's official site (which is wonderful, I must say) and her MySpace. That was about it.
Horror--were there no Imogen Heap fan sites to be found on the internet? Indeed, it seemed there were none at all. Something had to be done about that. Being a complete nerd for fansites and web design in general, I let my inner fangirl really shine through and began designing an all-inclusive fan shrine to the talented and lovely miss Heap.
WHY THE LOVE FOR IMOGEN HEAP?
... have you heard her music?
I first discovered Imogen Heap through a friend's reccomendation back in the summer of 2006. I picked up Speak for Yourself and instantly fell in love. That Christmas was a splendor of Immi records, namely, iMEGAPHONE and Frou Frou's Details.
Further sealing my Immi-love was attending her show at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 11th, 2006. The show was spectacular, Imogen performed beautifully, and her costume and surroundings were lavish enough to make everyone in the audience salivate. (I actually told her later on that I wanted to curl up and take a nap inside of her piano, but I digress.)
My friend and I were randomly lucky enough to be pulled aside by a representative from a local radio station, and we were given passes to meet Imogen after the show. After much waiting and dancing and squealing and anticipation and wondering, Imogen fluttered by us like a tall, pink, feathery cloud, and we got autographs from her. (Insert where I mentioned the thing about the piano, and she smiled and nodded politely.) I was a bit too shy to ask for a photo with her, but I cling to my autographed ticket and basically protect it with my life. (read: it's sealed up inside of an envelope which is sealed up inside of a scrapbook which is sealed up inside of a rubbermaid container.)

"to Jackie, love and kisses, Immi" - I think.
And so, with all that said, why shouldn't there be a fun fan site for a talented musician like Imogen Heap?
